The Nagler Prize is the first Swedish prize to promote translated literature from a broader perspective. The prize of SEK 100,000 and a diploma specially made by the artist duo Bengt & Lotta (Bengt Lindberg and Lotta Glave) is given to translators, interpreters or publishers of translated literature into Swedish. 
Monica Nagler and Gerald Nagler are the founders of the prize, in collaboration with PEN Sweden. 
Both Monica and Gerald have a strong foothold in Swedish cultural life and as human rights activists.
